I have been an educator for over 35 years serving in the capacity of high school ELA teacher, curriculum director, elementary and high school principal and as a higher education professor. My scholarly interests focus on working with students K-12 in the areas of reading, writing, and effective literacy instruction. I am dedicated to assisting our candidates in constructing a deep understanding of the processes involved in planning, instruction, and assessment for all students. My role as director allows me to work closely with our students, faculty, and staff,  providing high quality programming designed to develop teacher candidates who are knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate educators.
